NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A state trade mission to China and South Korea in April will focus on Tennessee's medical device manufacturers and other health care companies.
The state announced Wednesday that Commissioner Bill Hagerty of the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development will lead the trip April 15 to 21.
Also on the mission will be approximately 10 medical device manufacturers and representatives of other health care companies on visits to Beijing and Shenzhen in China and Seoul, South Korea.
Participants will attend the China International Medical Equipment Fair, the largest exhibition of medical equipment and related products and services in the Asia-Pacific region.
The trip is part of a recently announced TNTrade initiative designed to help boost exports by the state's small- and medium-sized businesses.
