Refusing hair-sample drug test trims firm's bank account ? Business ...

G2 Secure Staff has settled a disability discrimination charge stemming from poor hiring practices at Raleigh-Durham International Air??port, where the company provides security services.

Sharif K. Thompson had applied for a shift supervisor job with the firm, which requires all applicants to take drug tests. Thompson suffers from end-stage renal failure and cannot urinate. He asked to have his drug test completed using a hair sample. The company refused his re??quest?and then refused to hire him.

Thompson complained to the EEOC, and it looked like the case would go to trial. That?s when G2 offered to settle the case for $30,000.
