S&P'S Catherine Mathis to Lead New York Women in Communications ...

NEW YORK (June 27, 2011) -- New York Women in Communications, the leading professional organization for women in communications in the New York City-metro area, has elected its new board of directors for the 2011-2012 year.? Catherine Mathis, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications, Standard & Poor's has been appointed President.? She succeeds Linda Kaplan Thaler, CEO, Chief Creative Officer, The Kaplan Thaler Group, who served as the organization?s president for the past year and will remain on the board.?

New York Women in Communications is dedicated to promoting the highest standards throughout the industry, providing education and leadership for women at all stages in their careers... In its 82nd year, the organization looks to Ms. Mathis to continue to:

Ms. Mathis brings her expertise in executing communications strategies, message development, crisis management and marketing to the organization.
